Key Account Executive (Burlington, MA)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced sales professional to join our Key Account Team in our Corporate Headquarters in Burlington, MA. In this position, you will be responsible for new business development and lead generation. As an ambassador of our company, you will find best-fit strategies by taking a consultative approach to selling that establishes long-term relationships with clients in the large enterprise space. Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong prospecting skills, a successful track record in Enterprise B2B sales, and a customer-focused mentality. You will regularly meet with clients to position solutions that help manage energy spend related to electricity, natural gas, and energy efficiency strategies. Energy Sales experience is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect, uncover and develop a selling strategy to secure new businesses.
  • Hunt for opportunities with a primary focus on accounts that would qualify for Key Account Services.
  • Continuously develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospects and potential clients.
  • Analyze and report customer positions and performances of commodity contracts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the new customer base and retain existing ones.
  • Input your sales activity and prospects/clients’ information regularly in our internal CRM.
  • Exceed sales goals on a consistent basis.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven strategic and tactical selling skills with new prospects.
  • Ability to sell at multiple levels within an organization.
  • 5+ years of successful sales experience, preferably in the Vertical/Enterprise space.
  • 2+ Years of Energy Sales experience – required.
  • CRM proficiency, ideally in Salesforce.
  • Hunter mentality with superior cold calling/prospecting capabilities.
  • Proven track record of successfully acquiring new business/customers in the Enterprise space.
  • Revenue driven.
  • Ability to adapt and successfully perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
  • Customer-focused attitude.
  • Team player as well as an independent collaborative individual.
