Patriot Energy’s Craig Wall Talks Evolving Markets At TEPA

Promoting transparency in a time of rapid regulatory changes

Energy brokers need to closely monitor regulatory issues impacting the industry in order to maintain stability and lower costs for customers. That was the message from Craig Wall, director of energy services for Patriot Energy Group, in his recent keynote speech at The Energy Professionals Association’s annual Boston conference at Aloft in the Seaport.

“New England is a complicated market,” Wall, northeast president of TEPA, told conference attendees. “We run into numerous situations with changes in law, as well as additional regulatory issues.”

He advised all in the industry to be wary of volatility driven by regulatory changes at the state and federal level and to find innovative solutions.

“We need to be cognizant of the constantly changing and evolving marketplace,” Wall said. “It’s important to incorporate these changes quickly, clearly, and transparently into our businesses. We need to develop strategies to make our clients, partners, and brokers aware of the possible effects that will result from these changes.”

The conference brings together the region’s top energy professionals to discuss trends, attend educational seminars and network as part of TEPA’s mission of supporting an open and competitive energy market and adhering to a strict code of conduct.
