Patriot Energy Announces New Chief Operating Officer
Burlington, MA - 2/20/2014 - Patriot Energy Group, one of the largest energy management firms in the nation, has appointed David Berardi as the new Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. The role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) is new to the company and has been created to enhance their ongoing efforts to manage resources and increase efficiency in order to achieve a more effective performance, deliver best-in-class client satisfaction, and increase revenue growth. The COO will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Louis Frate, and will take responsibility for all aspects of the day-to-day management of the Patriot Energy Group, including operations, finance, and IT.
Berardi brings a wealth of industry knowledge and more 25 years of experience in strategy and business development. With over a decade in the energy industry, Berardi has also garnered experience in building technologies, energy management and sustainability, and system integration. He has a proven record developing and implementing strategic frameworks that grow business, as well as achieving significant growth in market share, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

Before joining Patriot Energy Group, Mr. Berardi served as Senior Vice President of Solution Transformation & Execution Centers for the North American Operations at Schneider Electric. Prior to that, he assumed the role of Vice President of Systems Integration East for the U.S. Buildings Business at Andover Controls Corporation. Berardi led the merger between the two companies in 2004.
After great success at previous organizations, Berardi accepted his new position "to expose himself to a more nimble, entrepreneurial environment." He's confident that this role will target his passion for strategy, front-line business development, and hands-on leadership, while allowing him to grow another solutions organization.
